Frankfurt am Main - Bundesliga fans in Great Britain and Ireland will be able to continue enjoying coverage of German football for the seasons 2012/13 - 2014/15 after a contract extension was agreed between DFL Sports Enterprises and the television network.

The rights package includes live TV coverage of Bundesliga, Supercup, friendly and relegation play-off matches as well as a weekly preview and highlights show. The rights for video on demand and online and mobile platforms are also included.

ESPN will show a minimum of four Bundesliga games each week live in HD, while news, information, analysis and exclusive videos will be available both online and on mobile devices.

"This agreement continues our successful partnership with ESPN in Great Britain and Ireland," said Jörg Daubitzer, CEO of DFL Sports Enterprises. "ESPN has been a reliable partner for many years in numerous countries, including Brazil and the USA."

"The Bundesliga is a fantastic league and is one of the best in Europe," said Jeroen Oerlemans, ESPN Europe, Middle East and Africa vice president. "British football fans know a lot about it and are passionate about their favourite sport. They appreciate top quality matches, players and clubs and, alongside other top leagues, they therefore pay a lot of attention to the Bundesliga."
