Augsburg - FC Augsburg have confirmed the signing of a second striker in the current summer transfer window. Former Mainz forward Aristide Bance has joined FCA from Al-Ahli Dubai on a three-year deal lasting until 30th June 2015.
The Burkina Faso international returns to Germany having previously played in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 between 2007 and 2010 for Kickers Offenbach and 1. FSV Mainz 05 for whom he scored a combined total of 28 goals in 72 matches.
"It's excellent to be able to return to the Bundesliga. I'm happy and very thankful that FC Augsburg have offered me the chance to once again play football in Germany," said the 27-year-old.
"With Aristide Bance we have once again raised the quality in our attacking line-up. We're convinced that he will be able to build upon his previous good performances in the Bundesliga and help strengthen our side," explained executive director Manfred Paula.
Aristide Bance will wear the number 23 shirt for FC Augsburg and will join up with his new teammates at their summer training camp in Bad Aussee. Having already drafted in Knowledge Musona on loan from 1899 Hoffenheim the physical 6'4'' striker is sure to provide an added amount of fire power up front from FCA.
