Introduction

"Hello people!!

And welcome to my blog!! First of all I want to thank you for taking the time to read this. It is a great honor for me to be helping the Bundesliga covering a little piece of what the Copa America has to offer. It is such a huge event here in America, so it's pretty hard to cover all the information around it (mainly because every game is in a different location around the country... and I cannot manage to be everywhere... Yet!! Lol!).

But still... Being here and being able to stay close to Mexico's national team lets me live an incredible experience. And it is incredible not just because of the games or because of football (which I absolutely adore and it's one of my biggest passions!!) but because I get to feel an amazing atmosphere. I meet great, patriotic and passionate people, I see nervous kids smiling everywhere, so excited about watching their idols play. People from the US that love football and people from South America that travel all the way to the United States to support their flag and their colours! Yes, I know!! I am so lucky!!!

Well, sticking to the point... With this blog I am going to try to show you a little piece of Copa America. The little piece that I can live every day here. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! So follow us and I will definitely try my best to make you feel and live this incredible experiences as if you were here. We just arrived in LA, so pretty cool stuff coming soon!! See you around!

Love,

Lucía"

Thursday 9 June - Mexico vs Jamaica

Chicharito' scored the opener in Mexico's 2-0 win that took EL Tri into the quarter-finals of the Copa America Centenario.

Before the action got underway at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, there was plenty of excitement amid a buzzing pre-match atmosphere for Lucia to document...

"It's matchday today and we're at the stadium," she says. "The party's not moved inside yet - it's outside. We went to the Fanzone to see what's going on."

Lucia watched all the action alongside Chicharito's sister, Ana (r.).
Lucia bumped into this Mexico fan with a unique way of showing her support for Chicharito and Co.
The Mexico team have been based in Los Angeles for the past few days, and plenty of the city's Hispanic population made their way to the arena.
Lucia was lucky enough to bump into this Leverkusen fan who invited her to have a taco.
In case there was any doubt who they were here to see...
These young supporters were happy to pose for a selfie with Lucia prior to kick-off.
