"Hello people!!

And welcome to my blog!! First of all I want to thank you for taking the time to read this. It is a great honor for me to be helping the Bundesliga covering a little piece of what the Copa America has to offer. It is such a huge event here in America, so it's pretty hard to cover all the information around it (mainly because every game is in a different location around the country... and I cannot manage to be everywhere... Yet!! Lol!).

But still... Being here and being able to stay close to Mexico's national team lets me live an incredible experience. And it is incredible not just because of the games or because of football (which I absolutely adore and it's one of my biggest passions!!) but because I get to feel an amazing atmosphere. I meet great, patriotic and passionate people, I see nervous kids smiling everywhere, so excited about watching their idols play. People from the US that love football and people from South America that travel all the way to the United States to support their flag and their colours! Yes, I know!! I am so lucky!!!

Well, sticking to the point... With this blog I am going to try to show you a little piece of Copa America. The little piece that I can live every day here. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! So follow us and I will definitely try my best to make you feel and live this incredible experiences as if you were here. We just arrived in LA, so pretty cool stuff coming soon!! See you around!

Monday 13 June - Party time in Houston

Ahead of Mexico's final Group C clash with Venezuela to decide who finished top of the table, Lucia soaked up the atmosphere in and around the Houston Texans' NRG Stadium.

Lucia found Mexico fans were in celebratory mood in the Texan sun.

"Hello everyone, we just arrived at the stadium. Here you can see it, the NRG Stadium. It's pretty hot I have to say – everyone is sweating – but, you know, the party starts outside before everyone goes inside. So we're going to go now and see what's going on in the Fan Area."

Venezuela supporters mingled with their Mexico counterparts.

"A lot of people today. It's a stadium where more than 72,000 people fit, so it's pretty big, and also there are more than 26,000 parking spaces, so you know, let's go and talk to them and see what they have to say about today's match against Venezuela. Good luck Mexico – wooo!"

This Mexico aficianado dressed up for the occasion.

Lucia met some Mexico fans, decked out in traditional Azteca attire. Curious, she found out more about the eye-catching outfits...

Lucia: We're just in the parking lot and we found these guys. What are you wearing guys?

Fans: It's an Azteca suit.

Lucia: And why?

Fans: Because we're representing the warriors Aztecas.

Lucia: Do you have a dance or something? Do the Aztecas have dances?

Fans: Yes.

Lucia met many Mexico fans dressed in traditional outfits in Houston.

Lucia: And what's the meaning of the dance?

Fans: The dance is something that will attract the gods from the Aztecs to help.

Lucia: Let's hope it works, and wish Mexico good luck!

Fans: We wish Mexico good luck and we wish that Chicharito scores at least one goal.

Lucia: Thank you very much guys

Fans: Viva Mexico!

Sections of the NRG Stadium were a sea of green, white and red come kick-off.
