Jovic, Trapp, Kostic, Hasebe and da Costa in Europa League Squad of the Season
No fewer than five Eintracht Frankfurt players have been named in the UEFA Europa League Squad of the Season, with Luka Jovic, Kevin Trapp, Filip Kostic, Makoto Hasebe and Danny da Costa making the cut.
Frankfurt were a revelation on the continent this season, coming through the group stages with a perfect six wins from six before eventually bowing out in the semi-finals to Chelsea, the Europa League winners edging Die Adler on penalties in London.
Jovic plundered 10 goals in the competition - second only to Chelsea's Olivier Giroud (11) - while Trapp was the owner of four clean sheets in what was Frankfurt's best run in Europe since winning the UEFA Cup in 1980.
