Full time: Union 1-0 Wolfsburg

The visitors only really managed to apply pressure towards the closing stages in what was otherwise a largely flat performance. Union's well-drilled rearguard held firm to collect all three points thanks to Doekhi's first-half header.

Best chance of the game!

The ball is flicked through to Wind, who attempts to dink it over Rønnow from a tight angle. The Union goalkeeper stands his ground though, taking the ball to the face as he makes the save.

Bjelica's view on Wolfsburg

"Wolfsburg are a good footballing team, with quality individuals. In Kevin Behrens, they have a player who's a real aerial threat from set-pieces, but behind him is a team that likes to play. That means we need to be aggressive, but we also need to play good football to beat them."

Kovač's view on Union

"Obviously it won’t be an easy match. Anyone who’s ever played at the Alte Försterei knows it’s always a tight match, especially as there’s really good support from the fans there. It’s going to be a hard fight again this time. Our recent meetings against Union have always been close. We won 2-1 in the match here, we lost narrowly there last year, so I certainly don’t think it’ll be a match with five goals. It’s a case of starting well, trying to create chances – which isn’t always easy against a back five – and you have to try to get that bit of luck on your side. That’s easier said than done."

Home run

Union have won their last three Bundesliga home games in a row. Four would equal the club record (2019/20).
