RICHTER TO THE RESCUE!

INCREDIBLE! Marco Richter scores in the third minute of added time to level the game. A cross from the right flank is too long and Gregoritsch collects before swinging it back in. Richter leaps and glances the ball past Fährmann!

AS THINGS STAND

The scoreline as it stands will take Schalke off the bottom of the table. The Royal Blues were bottom of the Bundesliga table coming into this weekend for the first time since 1991.
82'

WHAT A CHANCE!

Bozdogan pops up in space in the Augsburg box. He dribbles past a defender onto his right foot, eight yards out, and despite having Schöpf in space across from him, goes for goal himself. It's a shot dragged just wide past the post. Another big opportunity goes begging.
81'

FÄHRMANN CAUTIONED

The Schalke goalkeeper is shown a yellow card for some time-wasting here.
80'

END-TO-END HERE

Schalke are still pushing forward looking to extend their lead. It's a risky approach, but the one-man advantage affords them a little more space. Augsburg, meanwhile, Have Richter, Finnbogason, Vargas and Gregoritsch in attack.
79'

RICHTER MISCUES

A cut-back from Framberger in the Schalke box finds Richter in space, but he's late on his shot and the ball miscues off his standing leg and goes wide of goal.
78'

WHAT A CHANCE FOR BOUJELLAB!

A long ball over the Augsburg defence sends Raman away on the left. He spots Boujellab making a break-neck run into the box and crosses to him. He lunges to meet the ball, but can't keep it down ahead of Gikiewicz and his shot goes high over the crossbar.

SCHALKE LEAD!

There it is, the big moment for Schalke and they lead just after the hour. Boujellab's first ever for Schalke and first ever in the Bundesliga! Great link-up play as Serdar is played into the Augsburg penalty area and cuts the ball back from the byline. Boujellab meets it and his shot is too hot for Gikiewicz to handle.

A lovely pass from Mascarell finds Raman in space out on the left. He flicks the ball inside to Bozdogan on the edge of the Augsburg box and he goes for goal with a first-time volley. He's leaning back as he hits it though and the ball flies high over the crossbar.

HERE WE GO!

Kick-off!

THE TIME HAS COME!

The players are making their way out onto the WWK-Arena pitch here in Augsburg for the first of our Sunday double-header.

TIME FOR NIEDERLECHNER TO GET IN THE FLO?

Florian Niederlechner has not scored in his last 10 Bundesliga appearances dating back to Matchday 33 of last season, but has found the net more times against Schalke than any other German top-flight club (four goals). He leads the attack today for Augsburg.

SAME FOR BAUM

Schalke coach Manuel Baum is also coming up against his former club. Baum was in charge at Augsburg for two-and-a-half years, taking charge of 85 matches in total.

CALIGIURI AGAINST HIS FORMER SIDE

Caligiuri is Augsburg's four-goal top scorer this season. Across his previous 11 Bundesliga campaigns, the former Schalke midfielder has never scored so often after 10 matches.

IS TODAY THE DAY FOR S04?

Schalke are creeping ever closer to Tasmania Berlin's ignominious Bundesliga record for longest streak without a win (31 matches, 1965/66). Victory today would be their first since beating Gladbach on Matchday 18 of last season. Meanwhile, Augsburg are winless in four for the first time under Herrlich (D2, L2).

SCHALKE TEAM NEWS

Midfielder Harit is not recalled following an internal suspension, but defender Sane is back in to start. Coach Manuel Baum has left it up to Fährmann to decide if he will start in goal after recently overcoming a knee injury. He does, and so Langer is back to the bench with regular No.1 Rönnow still out injured. Germany international Serdar will hope to rediscover the kind of form that yielded a team-leading seven goals between September and January of the 2019/20 campaign.

WAIT AND SEE WITH AUGSBURG

The home side are dealing with a defensive crisis, and therefore a change of personnel has come for today. Gouweleeuw and Uduokhai start, but so do Gumny (right-back), Framberger, Khedira, Strobl and Gruezo. Should Augsburg remain in a 4-4-2, expect Uduokhai to shift to left-back and Khedira drop in at centre-back. But we shall have to wait for kick-off to get a confirmation on that.

AUGSBURG STARTING XI!

Gikiewicz - Framberger, Gouweleeuw (c), Uduokhai, Gumny - Khedira, Strobl, Gruezo - Caligiuri, Niederlechner, Vargas
