Unfortunately chances remained at a premium at the SGL arena. Wolfsburg's new signing Fagner <br>(l., challenging Augsburg's Matthias Ostrzolek) looked an interesting prospect on the right of defence, though. Up front Aristide Bance (m.) was given next to no room to manouevre by the Wolfsburg defence. Brazilian star Diego did his best to create an opening in the second period, but ultimately there was no breakthrough and each side had to settle for a point.
