Christian Seifert is the Chief Executive Officer of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH. Furthermore, Christian Seifert is Vice President of the DFB and a member of the board of the League Association.Prior to that, Christian Seifert was Chairman of the Board at KarstadtQuelle New Media AG. During his tenure there, he oversaw the acquisition of sports broadcaster DSF and an extensive merchandising rights package for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. This went hand-in-hand with an expansion of the company's involvement in the spheres of e- and TV commerce. From 1998-2000, Seifert was Director of Marketing (Central Europe) for MTV Networks, having previously risen to the post of Head of Product Management at MGM Media Gruppe Munich (1995-1998).As Chief Executive Officer, Seifert is responsible for the strategic orientation and overall leadership of the DFL. Since joining in 2005, he has overseen revenues of over €10 billion from media rights, which is a 287 per cent increase since the 2005/06 season. The DFL and its sister organisations now manages the production of coverage from stadiums, data collection and the largest digital football archive in the world, and is one of the most respected and professional sports organisations in the world.
