Borussia Dortmund to visit Japan as part of 2024/25 pre-season
Borussia Dortmund will visit Japan a spart of their pre-season tour to Asia, including a friendly against Shinji Kagawa’s Cerezo Osaka.
Dortmund will be in Asia from 19 to 25 July and have confirmed that one of their stops will be in Japan to face Osaka on 24 July (tickets available here). It will be the first meeting between BVB and the Japanese club, who boast ex-Borussia playmaker Kagawa among their ranks.
The now 35-year-old made 216 competitive appearances during two spells at the Signal Iduna Park, helping Die Schwarzgelben to back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2010/11 and 2011/12, with the latter part of a domestic double. He won the DFB Cup again on his return in 2016/17.
Borussia last visited Asia for pre-season in 2022, which saw trips to Singapore and Malaysia.
